Innovative Tools to Elevate Your Next Virtual Event or Meeting

Updated: Jun 9, 2023

Finding new and creative ways to further your organization’s mission is a top priority. This year many of us have become familiar with platforms like Skype, Zoom, and Google Hangouts. Our team has discovered and tested new, more creative ways for you to successfully engage with your audience.

Want to try a different platform that can fit your virtual event, meeting, or conference? Take a look at these different options:

This is a virtual venue platform with multiple interactive areas optimized for connecting and engaging. Hopin offers a private virtual “backstage” for speakers and VIPs before, during, or after the event. You can host anywhere from 50 to 50,000 attendees for your online courses, webinars, hybrid events, trade shows, or networking events. This platform allows for branding and personalization to fit the needs of your organization. Similar to Zoom, it allows users to run polls and use the live stream option to share on social sites.

Create, manage, host & market your virtual conference all from a single platform. The dashboard allows the user to manage all aspects of the event in one place and in real-time. You can run multiple sessions on your agenda while easily managing discussions, Q&A, polls, hand-raise, and recording. You can host anywhere from 10-100K attendees in a single event. With its integrated high-quality HD Streaming, you can Simulcast your session to Facebook, YouTube, or use the RTMP feed. You can also mix your live sessions with pre-recorded sessions to meet event needs.

Want more audience engagement during your event? Try these platforms:

Whova | www.whova.com

Use this networking event platform for both hybrid and virtual events. It can be accessed on phones, tablets, or laptops and integrates with Zoom, GoToMeeting, WebX, Youtube, and Microsoft teams. Attendees can be engaged through polls, live Q&A, and the chatbox. By providing personalized in-app agendas for attendees and interactive discussion boards, attendees are able to ask questions and “pin” the topics they are interested in. You can both live stream and show pre-recorded videos while keeping attendees informed with notifications, emails, and in-app messaging. Showcase sponsors by using banners on the mobile app and website and a virtual exhibition hall.

Maestro Conference | www.maestroconference.com

A conference management platform that allows you to create, manage and customize your social conferencing events. Facebook integration allows your registrants to interact and share your registration page link with their network. It can accommodate large-scale events of up to 5,000 participants. Participants can join your interactive event from a computer, mobile device, or by audio only using a regular phone line. For troubleshooting and tech support, an integrated staff chat gives your presenters and assistants access to a private chat room during the call, helping you respond quickly to any circumstance that may arise.

A video networking platform that is great for small and large groups alike. Hosting up to 800 guests, Lunchpool is great for networking and broadcasting. Attendees congregate and chat on-screen and in real-time. Multiple presentation modes and virtual speaking panels are available. Lunchpool requires no software download and plays in your browser. Breakout rooms offer real-time, face-to-face engagement in a virtual table setting and can be randomly assigned or pre-sorted. Breakout rooms can be integrated with HD Video and audio, countdown timers for speed networking, and group screen sharing.

An all-in-one platform with broadcast capabilities, great for smaller events and meetings. Allows tables for attendees to chat as well as a whiteboard effect for engaging discussions. In-app chat allows users to ask or vote for questions in real-time. Can accommodate up to 500 attendees.
