Natalie Rodgers | The Acacia Company

Whether you’re just starting out or you’re looking for some help and direction, there are a few key ways to ensure your approach to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion will create sustainable and lasting impact. In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn which factors to consider and what challenges to anticipate when developing and implementing a DEI strategy. We'll explore a framework for assessing which stage of DEI development your organization is at and you'll walk away with practical tips and tools for building an organization that centers equity and its people.

Julia Burns | Clarity Transitions

Agreeing on and implementing strategies to equitably address retention and succession of paid staff members and volunteers is one of the most pressing issues facing nonprofit organizations. Yet our people too often do not receive the same attention as funding and finances. This session argues for including retention and succession towards both better delivery of mission and long-term sustainability and provides examples of these strategies.

Betsy Block | B3 Coach

Healthy conflict can be a powerful source of creativity and innovation for nonprofit organizations. Too often, we avoid conflict as a means of keeping the peace within teams. The crucial distinction between healthy and toxic conflict is to recognize and work towards an organizational culture that can support creative conflict. Nonprofit leaders must recognize the warning signs of conflict that lead to organizational toxicity. The goal of this workshop is to reframe your understanding of conflict and how you might leverage deep dialogue to create positive action in your organization.

Tekoah Boatner | Youth Oasis

In today's rapidly changing world, embracing change is crucial for nonprofit success. This interactive workshop equips participants with the tools and strategies to navigate change initiatives effectively, address resistance, and engage stakeholders. You'll learn practical methods for measuring progress, ensuring a smooth transition, and achieving lasting impact.

Kate Viana | Nontoxic Nonprofits

Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z: there are four generations in today's nonprofit workforce, and with such wildly varying communication styles and preferences in play, miscommunication is virtually inevitable - or is it? This workshop focuses on ways to address or eliminate common sources of friction, leverage the communication strengths of each generation, and set up your multigenerational team for healthier, more effective communication.

Andrea Domenica | DOMENICA CONSULTING

Through this workshop, participants will explore best-used inclusive hiring processes, become educated on the legal intricacies of hiring, and how they can leverage their positions as nonprofits to create a diverse workplace. Recognizing that the hiring process serves as a cornerstone for a company's reputation and the initial impression of top talent, this training session is tailored to ensure organizations have the groundwork to start constructing a diverse and compliant workforce. From creating compliant job descriptions to conducting equitable interviews, this training outlines best practices across nearly every stage of the hiring journey. Join us for the opportunity to reshape your organization's talent acquisition strategy, and subsequently, culture.

Julie Ha Truong | Leadership Savvy
