3 New Year’s Resolutions for Your Nonprofit

Updated: Jun 9, 2023

New year. New goals. 2021 was an unusually challenging year for the nonprofit world. Reflection is a huge part of growth. As we move into a promising new year, now is the best time to take a moment, evaluate your organization's position, and set your sights on the year ahead. Here are some resolutions to help refocus your nonprofit for a successful new year.

1. Make Data-Driven Decisions

A great way to start off 2022 is by analyzing all of your nonprofit's data from the previous year. It’s extremely beneficial to know which fundraising campaigns fared well and which fell short. Numerical data is a valuable insight into what motivates your donors. Equipped with these numbers in hand, you will be able to adjust your strategy accordingly.

2. Design with Mobile in Mind

The mobile user makes up 80% of all web surfing. That being said, if your organization isn’t designing your websites or donation forms with mobile compatibility, prospective donors could be slipping through the cracks. Moving forward, be sure to prioritize the mobile version of your website. It should be uniquely formatted and tested for the user’s experience.

3. Take Care of Yourself

Fundraising can be relentless and grueling work. This can be taxing and stressful to you and members of your organization. It’s important to block out time to recharge. A little bit of self-care can go a long way for you and your team. Celebrate a job well done and take some much-deserved time to rest and recover for the coming year!
