This session will focus on how nonprofits can harness digital tools, social media, and other technologies to raise awareness, advocate for public health causes, and engage their communities in health-related issues. The focus will be on using cost-effective and scalable technologies to create widespread impact.

ABOUT THE TRAINER

Katie Clark is the Founder & CEO of Katie Clark Digital Marketing (KCDM). She holds a Masters in Health Education and Promotion, and has over 14 years of strategic marketing and communication experience. The goal at KCDM is to help non profits develop effective content strategies that will engage their target audience and assist them in improving outcomes. Katie has worked with various nonprofits, social impact organizations, departments of health, hospitals, and community based organizations. She has helped them to create strategic marketing plans aimed at educating communities. She works with clients to identify levels of health literacy, analyze the needs of populations and identify the best methods of communication. KCDM focuses on utilizing evidence-based practices and combining that with creative strategies to enhance behavioral change among target audiences. Katie has a unique background that encompasses both public health core foundations as well as marketing approaches that excite and engage audiences. Combining both of these areas leads to sustainable approaches that can be scaled and increases behavior change. Katie has worked on large scale campaigns, both local and national that have been aimed around disease prevention, mental health, access to resources, and health equity. Katie has also worked with her clients on creating educational resources (print and digital) to support their marketing and communications strategy.
